Synastrybasic astrology Synastry by Liz Seddon Synastry means 'to star together'. That kind of tells you what it means astrologically. It tells how the planets' positions between any two birth charts can foretell the problems that may arise. It throws a light on the areas of conflict between two people as indicated by the difficult aspects as well as the areas where they feel comfortable with each other as indicated by the soft aspects. Traditionally, the aspects between the Suns and the Moons are found to be most compelling between the charts of two people. Harmonious aspects in particular are conducive to the self expressive qualities of the one being positively responded to by the other. Venus and Mars aspects between two people indicate sexual attraction. For instance, one person with Mars in Taurus would put out energy that is valued and appreciated by another who has Venus in Virgo, particularly when aspecting the Mars. Harmonious aspect make for easy relating but the hard aspects can be just as compelling but more difficult to handle. For instance, someone with Venus in Gemini likes to attract another by talking at length, which could prove over time to be difficult for a practical, analytical Mars in Virgo. Planets in Fire signs combine well with planets in Air signs. Air fans the flames of fire and fire stimulates the ideas of air. Water and Earth put out fire and are too emotional or too slow for Air. Water and Earth combine well as earth is able to contain the emotions of water and both are into security, one emotional, the other material security. The 5th, 7th and 8th Houses are the relationship Houses. It is important to study the planets in these houses as well as the signs on the cusp and the planets ruling that signs. The 5th House relates to all kinds of romantic interests and love affairs, one's attitude towards children and overall creativity. Planets in this house will give further information regarding the above and either help or hinder love affairs and handling of children, depending on the aspects. Any aspects from planets in other houses will indicate the problems to overcome. Easy aspects promise assistance, hard aspects difficulties. Signs on the 7th House cusp imply a pull towards the kind of partner one is attracted to. For example, if a fire sign is to be found on the 7th house cusp, it implies that the peson is attracted to fiery, ardent, spontaneous types. If an air sign is found it implies a pull towards airy, intellectual, logical types. If an earth sign then one would be attracted to the dependable, realistic types. And when a water sign on the 7th house cusp, it implies a pull towards emotional fluid unions. And it follows that we are attracted to people who have the sign or planet ruling the sign on our 7th house cusp strong in their chart. Planets in the 7th House are indicators of the kind of relationships we are likely to have. When there are several planets in the 7th house it immediately puts that house into focus . However, the planets in the house and the aspect to them will decide the eventual outcome of any relationships the person has. When there are no planets in the 7th house, you would look to the ruling planet on the cusp and it's aspects to give you the information. The 8th House governs sexual relationships, joint finances, taxes and inheritance. Signs and planets in the 8th House suggest how we fare financially in a marriage or business partnership, as well as how we share our most intimate sexual selves. The 8th House is the Pluto house, relating deeply with another person entails a kind of death, the letting go of our ego boundaries. To die as a separate 'I' to be reborn a 'We'. Aspects to 8th house planets indicate ease or difficulties regarding these matters. Partner's planets in our first house or aspecting the Ascendant must not be overlooked as the 1st house represent how we present ourselves out to the world. Any benefic planet in or aspecting this house will make us feel good about ourselves, which in turn will obviously benefit the relationship. Always keep in mind that each planet symbolises a specific principle of behaviour. The sign in which the planet appears indicates the specific manner in which this principle will reveal itself. And the house that each planet occupies points to the specific life area where this influence can be most clearly seen. the synastry chart the composite chart advanced synastry This website was created using MAGIX Website Maker You will need the current version of Adobe Flash Player to view it.
