PRESIDENT LECH KACZYNSKI DIES IN PLANE CRASH by Lis Seddon 11 April 2010
Lech Kaczynski was born on 18th June 1949 (as one of a twin) in Warsaw, Poland. 52N15', 21E00'. I don't have his time of birth so have used noon. (chart on the right)The Sun in Gemini is closely conjunct Uranus, which is the sign of a reformer and often present in politicians' charts. His chart shows a t-square consisiting of Mars conjunct Mercury opposite Chiron and square Saturn. This is a difficult configuration and indicates someone who tends to speak up, perhaps somewhat agrressively, for his principles, often making enemies in the process. However, that same Mars - Mercury conjunction trines both Jupiter and Neptune, indicating the humanitarian influence and his fight for the underdog. Particularly as the Moon is likely to be in Pisces and indicates a similar influence. That his idealistic values may have been unrealistic at times is indicated by the close Venus - Neptune square. He died while transiting Saturn and Uranus were making a t-square with his Sun/Uranus (death caused by air travel).
On the left is a bi-wheel of the chart for Poland, set for 24 August 1989 (inner wheel) and the transit chart for 10 April 2010 (outer wheel). It is immediately noticable that transiting Uranus is opposite the Poland Mercury. Transiting Pluto at 5 degrees of Capricorn quincunx Mars at 5 of Leo and transiting Saturn has just retrograded over natal Uranus. These transits have activated the Poland t-square configuration of Uranus, Saturn, Neptune in Capricorn, opposite Jupiter and Chiron in Cancer square Mercury in Virgo and Venus in Libra. A t-square involving 7 planets is likely to present enormous difficulties when transited by these three outer planets. It is interesting to note that Lech Kaczynski's Venus is at 13 degrees of Cancer conjunct the Poland Chiron at 13 degrees also, indicating the valued relationship he had with the Polish people. His Saturn was at 1 degree of Virgo conjunct the Poland Sun. This is an indication of the responsibility he had taken on for his country and that they saw him as their leader.
President Lech Kaczynski and scores of other senior Polish figures have been killed in a plane crash in Russia. Polish and Russian officials said no-one survived after the plane apparently hit trees as it approached Smolensk airport in thick fog. Russian media reports said the pilots ignored advice from air traffic control to divert to another airport. Poland's army chief, central bank governor, MPs and leading historians were among more than 80 passengers. The Russian emergencies ministry told Itar-Tass news agency the plane crashed at 1056 Moscow time (0656 GMT) as it was coming in to land. Smolensk regional governor Sergei Antufiev told Russian TV that no-one had survived. "Flight controllers suggested that the plane be forwarded to Minsk but as far as we know the crew took an independent decision to land the plane in Smolensk," Smolensk regional government spokesman Andrei Yevseyenkov told Russian TV. Russian officials said 97 people were killed in the crash, including eight crew. Polish officials said that 89 people had been scheduled to fly in the delegation to the Katyn commemoration, but one person missed the flight. Lech Kaczynski's wife was among the dead. Mr Putin said he would personally oversee the investigation into the crash and that the bodies of the victims would be taken to Moscow for identification. Russia would observe a day of mourning on Monday, the prime minister said. Russia's Emergency Minister Sergei Shoigu said both of the plane's flight information recorders had been found. Most of the passengers on the plane were traveling to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Katyn massacre. The Katyn massacre was when thousands of Poles were executed by the Soviet Secret Police. The most common number of people who died was 21,768 according to Wikipedia. On Wednesday Vladimir Putin was the first Russian leader to commemorate the tragic massacre.
