HEALTH BILL SIGNED by Roy MacKinnon 22 March 2010 In a landmark vote the USA House of Representatives passed the President’s Healthcare Reform Bill by a narrow majority of 219 to 212. This was achieved after much long argument and no support from the Republicans. It will extend cover now to 32 Million poor people who would otherwise have no cover and is the biggest health reform in many decades. The Bill was signed at 10-48 PM EDT on 21st March, 2010 in Washington and a few of the salient astrological factors are as follows:- The Ascendant at Scorpio 13 is trine to Jupiter at almost Pisces 15 heralding success. That many people saw the legislation as extravagant is witnessed by the square from Jupiter to the Moon at Gemini 14. The Sun having just ingressed into Aries is very closely opposed by Saturn at Libra 1. Mars is also involved at Leo 1 and to add to a complex picture Ceres has just entered Capricorn. The Sun-Saturn combination suggests the courageous fight by the Democrats to be responsible and fair and maybe the Leo Mars suggested that the creative power was there to enact this political change. That it is needed is seen by Ceres, asteroid of nurturing, afflicted in Capricorn by the square from the Aries Sun, the Libra Saturn and the quincunx from the Leo Mars. Venus squares the Moon’s Node in Capricorn suggesting that it will be difficult to find the funding to bring the bill into reality. Pluto squares Sun and Mercury and in fact is very close to the Sun/Mercury midpoint not only suggesting the political power struggle but also the difficulties there will be in finding the money with which to fund the enterprise. Sedna at Taurus 21 squares the Leo MC at 22 indicating wealthier people will have to make financial sacrifices to assist in respect of healthcare costs their less affluent fellow citizens.
