Nepal Massacre by Liz Seddon The tragic deaths of the Nepalese royal family, who were shot by their son, (the heir to the throne Dipendra) on 1st June 2001 prompted me to take a closer look to see what aspects the transiting Centaurs were making at the time and Pylenor in particular. This was the story on that day in 2001: Nepal royal family massacred. The King and Queen of Nepal have been shot dead after the heir to the throne went on the rampage with a gun before turning it on himself. Eleven people died in the incident which started when Crown Prince Dipendra allegedly had a dispute with his mother over his choice of bride. King Birendra, Queen Aishwarya and Prince Niranjan were among the victims of the tragedy at the royal palace in Nepal's capital, Kathmandu. King Birendra of Nepal, whose chart you see below (inner wheel), was born on 28th December 1945 at Katmandu, 085 E 19, 27N43, no time given so therefore I use the mid-day chart. He has the Sun at 6 degrees Capricorn opposite Pylenor at 8 degrees Cancer and both are in square to Neptune at 8 degrees Libra, making this a difficult T-square configuration. This could have been an indication that the way in which he ruled his country was an illusion and deeply flawed. He would have been made aware of the need for change by the occurrance of sudden, disruptive incidents that would require a breaking down and restructuring into that which was more appropriate. He ruled as an absolute monarch without political parties under a system of local panchayates or councils. In 1990 a series of strikes and pro-democracy riots broke out in Nepal. Nationwide unrest forced him to legalise political parties and accept a parliamentary system. Because of the rioting Birendra agreed to become a constitutional monarch. Crown Prince Dipendra was born 27 th June 1971, in Kathmandu (no time given). He has the Sun at 4 degrees Cancer in close square to Pylenor at 3 degrees Libra. The Sun and Mercury square Chiron at 12 degrees Aries and Uranus at 9 degrees Libra making a Grand Cross with the position of the King's Sun in Capricorn. Pylenor is not only in difficult aspect to the Sun of both the king and his son but also in the synastry between them. The king's Pylenor is conjunct Birendra's Sun and Birendra's Pylenor squares the king's Sun. This is likely to mean that they are catalysts for change for each other. They would have subconsciously recognised something in the other that was actually a part of themselves. In Dipendra's chart the Pylenor/Uranus midpoint is at 6 degrees Libra, not only squaring his own Sun but also his father's Sun at 6 degrees Capricorn.
