MusharrafMUSHARRAF TO BE IMPEACHED by Roy MacKinnon It was announced 7th August, 08 that Pervez Musharraf, President of Pakistan is to either face a confidence motion which he is not likely to survive or else face impeachment. Asif Ali Zarkari, widower of assassinated Benazir Bhutto, and head of the coalition government and his associate former Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif who was originally ousted by Masharraf jointly confronted the president on this issue. A list of criticisms has been annotated. These include the prevention of return to democracy through insistently holding unnecessarily onto power. It also includes bringing the country to the brink of financial ruin. To be successful the coalition requires two thirds of the necessary parliamentary votes which seems something likely to be achieved. However, it remains to be seen how the Senate will vote and what the response of the army will be. Musharraf cancelled his intended visit to Beijing to fight the impeachment. The Pakistan chart is that of its independence from the British which commenced at midnight on 15th August, 1947 in the capital of Karachi. This chart shows planets being actively transited. Transiting Neptune at Aquarius 23 is retrograding back across the opposition point to Pakistan’s Natal Sun at Leo 21 showing a dissolution of power at the top. Transiting Pluto is almost exactly quincunx at Sagittarius 28 to Natal North Node in the same degree of Taurus – clearly a power issue involving the ordinary people. In a few days time Transiting Mars will square Natal Uranus – an outbreak of violence is possible. Perhaps, most importantly the solar eclipse just passed on 1st August, 08 at Leo 9 is conjunct Pakistan Mercury at Leo 7 and Pluto at Leo 13. This brings us to Masharraf’s chart. Vedic Astrologer, Dr. Aijoz Haissain Batt says that Musharraf was born in Rawalpindi at 6-05 AM India War Time (-6.5 Hours) and we know Musharraf’s birth date is 11th August, 1943. This gives him Ascendant and Pluto at Leo 7 and Jupiter at Leo 9 – all again conjunct the eclipse degree. Next month transiting Uranus at Pisces 20 will exactly oppose Musharraf’s 2nd House Venus suggesting a disruption to his income. Right now (7th August) Saturn by transit opposes his Mercury and in a few months time Transiting Pluto complete a grand trine with MC and Chiron in the first degree of Earth Signs – a temporary and unfortunate grand trine to his MC since neither Chiron nor Pluto are exactly comfortable influences. Transiting Pluto will also square Musharraf’s Neptune and Neptune rules his 8th House of Power thereby suggesting his power base will be weakened and may just dissolve away. In Musharraf’s Progressed chart he now has Venus and Chiron in conjunction within a degree. Progressed Moon squares his Natal Jupiter implying the people want to be free of him. While the Progressed Mercury at Libra 3 squares the progressed MC suggesting termination of contract, interestingly in the declinations, progressed MC at 23N24 is almost exactly conjunct Natal Pluto at 23N26 suggestive of power struggles. Also Progressed Mars will be exactly squared by Transiting Uranus within the month – once again conveying a military flavour. All in all it seems as though Pakistan/ Musharraf could be about to go through troubled and violent times.
