Karadzic's arrest

KARADZIC ARRESTED by Roy MacKinnon Radovan Karadzic shares a birthday with Nobel Peace Prize 1991 Laureate, Aung San Suu Kyi. There is no birth time for either and while it is clear that one has committed heinous crimes and the other is a pacifist, yet there are common theme to both persons. Both were born on 19th June, 1945, Karadzic in Montenegro the son of a father who was a military rebel. Karadzic is a doctor who qualified as a psychiatrist and who practised as such initially and then latterly as a means of disguise. He is also an artist, a composer of folk music and a poet. From early years he developed a political interest (just like Aung San Suu Kyi). However, unlike the lady, Karadzic developed less scrupulous morals and was arrested on 18th July, 1984 on a charge of fraud and as a result spent a commuted prison sentence in jail of one year. Thereafter he developed a strong political interest and after Yugoslavia fell apart, he became President of the Serbian Republic of Bosnia, on 12th May 1992. At that time Muslim Bosnia and Herzegovina had declared independence and Karadzic decided to ruthlessly set about claiming territory for Serbia. It is estimated between 17th December 1992 and 19th June 1996, when this process of ethnic cleansing and appalling atrocities occurred, that at least 8,000 people of Muslim and Croat origin were murdered, that there was mass rape of women and that about 2,000,000 people became refugees as their country was effectively destroyed. As a result of these crimes the U.N. issued a warrant for the arrest of Karadzic on 24th July, 1996. However, Karadzic disappeared from sight. What he did thereafter is unclear. However, at the time of his recent arrest he had acquired a new identity as a Dr. Dragan Dabic. He had grown a white bushy beard and long pony tail hair, donned spectacles and was passing himself off as an alternative medicine practitioner who advocated the use of Human Quantum Energy and a macrobiotic diet. He was arrested on a bus in Belgrade on 18th July, 2008 at 21-30 Hours CEDT or 19-30 UT, but was not charged until 21st July, 2008. He was extradited to The Hague, 52N07, 04E17 on 30th July and was charged formally in court on 31st July, at 16-00 Hrs (14-00 UT). Note a Solar Eclipse on 1st August, 2008 at 10-14 UT. The Eclipse occurred at Leo 9-32. In the chart of Karadzic the position of Natal Pluto is at Leo 8-39 (using a local midday chart for nativity chart) so the eclipse degree sits on Pluto showing a total change in the life of Karadzic. In the chart of Karadzic the Sun/Mercury midpoint is at Gemini 29-50 (remember this could be more than half a degree in error dependent on birth time which is unknown). Transiting Pluto at the time of arrest was opposite in Sagittarius 28-53R. In Secondary Progressions Mars has reached Gemini 19-20 which squares the Natal Chart Jupiter at Virgo 19-21. In the Eclipse chart Mars is located at Virgo 18-42 which is conjunct the Natal Chart Jupiter at Virgo 19-21. Drawing up the Eclipse Chart for The Hague gives an Ascendant of Libra 12-43. This position is in square to the Saturn of Karadzic’s Chart which is at Cancer 12-07. From the astrology indicated above it is clear corrupt behaviour (Pluto) is likely to adversely affect Karadzic’s freedom of movement (Sun/Mercury – Gemini). With the eclipse degree closely conjunct his Pluto, then it is a time of endings and beginnings depending on what blackness has to be brought to light. The double Mars to Jupiter aspects (Transits and Progressions) shows possibly a degree of carelessness (Jupiter- recklessness). It could also indicate that the ‘law’ disliked the activities (Mars) which we know to be the case with Karadzic. Lastly, the Saturn – Ascendant aspect indicates the restriction (Saturn) placed on Karadzic (Ascendant) as a result of all of this. The future looks bleak for Karadzic – the astrology of the last few days very telling.
