Pylenor (1994 TA) Research Page by Liz Seddon My interest in Pylenor research began about seven years ago when I discovered it is conjunct my natal Sun. In trying to find out what this was likely to mean for me I started to look at the various incidents and charts of people where this particular Centaur was strongly placed. This is one way in which astrologers can ascertain how a particular planet/body is likely to express its energy within a chart. The others are its part in the mythology and its astronomical characteristics. Pylenor crosses the orbit of Uranus and this is indicative of its sudden, disruptive energy. In the mythology, Pylenor (its name means the man from the mountain pass) is wounded by one of Hercules's poisoned arrows and washed his wounds in the river Anigrus thereby contaminating the river with a peculiar, nasty odour, which affected all who associated with it. As the myth suggests, it is also connected to that which needs purifying (the washing of the wound), the structure that needs to be broken down and rebuilt in order for healing to occur and to move on. Below is the bi-wheel of Israel (inner chart) 14 May 1948, 16.00 hrs. Tel Aviv 034E46 32N04, and the transit chart (outer wheel) set for the disastrous wedding event of 24th May 2001, 10.43 p.m. Jerusalem 035E14, 31N46. On this day in Jerusalem a number of people (24) were killed and 600 wounded after the hotel floor collapsed. The building had been declared unsafe but some hasty renovations prior to the wedding coupled with the owner's greed to make a few bucks was all that was needed for this supposedly happy day to turn into a nightmare. On that day transiting Pylenor was at 23 degrees Taurus conjunct the natal Sun at 23 degrees Taurus in square aspect to transiting Uranus at 24 degrees of Aquarius. As Pylenor here indicates the structure and Taurus relates to buildings, then Uranus is the disruptive influence of the collapse of that building. The transformative influence being the floor (4th house) opening up as in the abyss, and people falling to their death. Transiting Juno was at 24 degrees Taurus, conjunct The Sun and Pylenor square to Uranus. This could indicate a sudden violent event (Uranus) at the celebrations (Sun) concerning a wedding (Juno) in a flawed building (Pylenor in Taurus). Transiting Chiron and Mars are conjunct natal Jupiter at 27 degrees of Sagittarius opposite the natal Sun/Moon midpoint. This again is an indicator of many wounded people. Also, Chiron and Mars also both opposed Mercury and the Moon from Sagittarius to Gemini, again indicating violence and wounding to people who were mingling.
