IVAN CAMERON by Roy MacKinnon Ivan Cameron was the first born child of Samantha and David Cameron. David Cameron is the leader of the Conservative Party, the official opposition to the U.K. Government and would become Prime Minister were the Conservative Party to be elected at the next general election. Ivan was born by Caesarian Section at London’s Queen Charlotte Hospital and at birth only weighed 2lbs 11 ozs. Within days of his birth Ivan was diagnosed as suffering from both Cerebral Palsy and Ohtahara Syndrome which were responsible for him being quadriplegic and the victim of very violent epileptic seizures some of which in Ohtahara’s can last for an hour. Because of this most such children do not survive beyond two years of life. Perhaps, only 100 children suffer in the U.K. from such severe disability and there exists the possibility of the involvement of an inherited factor in the illness. Ivan was limited in what he could do. He could follow with his eyes and smile but seemed capable of little else. In the absence of a birth time I have used 12 Noon (BST) on 8th April, 2002 for Ivan Cameron. While the Moon position is uncertain yet it is interesting to note the conjunction in the chart from it in Pisces to Uranus at the end of Aquarius. Perhaps, the outstanding configuration in his chart is the square from Uranus at Aquarius 27-38 to Mars at Taurus 26-23. This Mars is very important because it falls on Algol which was at Taurus 26-11 when Ivan was born and so the conjunction is very close - under a quarter of a degree. Algol is well known for its capacity to produce problems in the head and neck area and the square from Uranus depicts well the fits/seizures which Ivan suffered from. Mercury at Aries 19-37 very much relates to the head and is closely conjunct Eris at Aries 19-42 suggesting that mental ability or neuronal pathways might be impaired or marginalised. However, both are in square to Nessus at Capricorn 19-24. I find this very interesting. In the myth of Nessus there is a message concerning the unsuspected passing forward of toxic situations beyond death. Nessus himself had died before Hercules but it was the poisonous blood of Nessus which brought about Hercules' death. It seems to me that there is some possibility therefore that Ivan Cameron somehow may have `inherited' an unsuspected condition from one or other of his parents. The Saturn/Uranus midpoint at Aries 19-22 to me suggests an epileptic-like illness – like alternation between slow or defective mental impulses and then the electrical discharges associated with seizures. As if to echo and emphasise this I note that Pholus is at Scorpio 16-44 in close opposition to Sedna at Taurus 16-48. Now Pholus is certainly connected to inter-generational matters. The opposition to Sedna therefore suggests that Ivan had to sacrifice because of these factors. The Venus/Mars midpoint at Scorpio/Taurus 17-37 indicates that there was a possible connection here through the blood. Perhaps, it was somehow genetically impaired but Pholus suggests the need for transformation and healing in this area. There are several other factors of note in Ivan's chart – such as a close Neptune square to Venus but I was struck by the powerful input of these Centaur Asteroids as worthy of special attention.
