9/11 Ten Years On 8 September 2011
At 8.46am local time on the morning of Tuesday 11 September 2001, American Airlines Flight 11, a Boeing 767 travelling from Boston to Los Angeles, crashes into the north face of the North Tower of the World Trade Centre at a speed of around 466mph. All 92 people on board are killed. The plane crashes between floors 93 and 99, travelling into the centre of the building and cutting off access to all three staircases. Fifteen minutes later a second plane, United Airlines Flight 175, another fully-fuelled Boeing 767 travelling from Boston to Los Angeles, is seen nearing South Tower of the World Trade Centre.On that morning, 19 al-Qaeda terrorists hijacked four passenger jets. The hijackers intentionally crashed two planes into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City; both towers collapsed within two hours. Hijackers crashed a third plane into the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia. When passengers attempted to take control of the fourth plane, United Airlines Flight 93, it crashed into a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania, preventing it from reaching its intended target in Washington, D.C. Nearly 3,000 died in the attacks.
Suspicion quickly fell on al-Qaeda, the Islamist militant group. In 2004, Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, who had initially denied involvement, claimed responsibility for the attacks. Al-Qaeda and bin Laden cited U.S. support of Israel, the presence of U.S. troops in Saudi Arabia, and sanctions against Iraq as motives for the attacks. The United States responded to the attacks by launching the War on Terror, invading Afghanistan to depose the Taliban, who had harbored al-Qaeda members. Many countries strengthened their anti-terrorism legislation and expanded law enforcement powers. In May 2011 bin Laden was found and killed.The destruction caused serious damage to the economy of Lower Manhattan. Cleanup of the World Trade Center site was completed in May 2002. The National September 11 Memorial & Museum is scheduled to open on September 11, 2011. Adjacent to the memorial the One World Trade Center is estimated for completion by 2013. This skyscraper will be the same height as the old twin towers - 1,368 ft (427m), but the antenna will take it up to 1,776 ft (541m).The Pentagon was repaired within a year, and the Pentagon Memorial opened, adjacent to the building, in 2008. Ground was broken for the Flight 93 National Memorial in November 2009, and the memorial is to be formally dedicated on September 10, 2011. (from Wikipedia) It may be 10 years since the attacks on 11 September, but conspiracy theories have not faded over time, says Mike Rudin. Numerous official reports have been published since the Twin Towers fell, but just when a piece of evidence casts doubt on one theory, the focus then shifts to the next "unanswered question". And so it goes on.
It is immediately obvious that transiting Pluto at 12-38' degrees Sagittarius is within minutes of the US Ascendant at 12-21' degrees Sagittarius. That Pluto should be involved here is not surprising considering the catastrophic impact this event has had on the American people. Pluto, as indicator of painful and deep transformation, suggests that the USA will never be the same again. Transiting Chiron was on the Pluto/Mars midpoint and indicated the 'woundedness' of these violent attacks.Furthermore, transiting Saturn was on the cusp of the Descendant at 14-46' degrees Gemini, on the USA's Uranus/Mars midpoint and this is an idication that sudden violent attacks from 'open enemies' bring death and destruction. This is not helped by transiting Mars on the US Mercury/Uranus midpoint, indicating yet more sudden violent action. Transiting Uranus was on the Chiron/Mars midpoint and another indication of a sudden, violent incident resulting in death and wounding. Mercury was conjunct the 9/11 Ascendant and squared Jupiter, which was close to the USA's 8th house cusp, indicating the news of many deaths.Transiting Nessus was at 9-25' Capricorn, on the Sun/Jupiter midpoint and indicates revengeful action that is likely to diminish their optimistic self-expression.
